Public Disaster Preparedness

Colorado is very fortunate to have a well-organized disaster preparedness program. The Animal Emergency Management Programs is overseen by a full-time Director and staff. One of the main programs is called the Colorado State Animal Response Team (CO SART). A large amount of information is on their website.

There are many levels for volunteering. To find out what is best for you, contact:

The best way to protect your family from the effects of a disaster is to have a disaster plan. If you are a pet owner, that plan must include your pets. Being prepared can save their lives.
