Guidelines for CACVT Newsletter Employment Advertisement

Monthly edition of TechniquesThe goal of newsletter advertising is to inform technicians and CACVT members of job opportunities. These ads are limited to those associated with veterinary medicine or related areas of interest.

Cost

  • $1 per major word (approximately) (small ads - see example)
  • One graphic per ad is encouraged; there is no additional cost.
  • $45 for one month, quarter-page ad.
  • $150 for a one-page insert with the printer doing the printing (b&w only on any colored paper)
  • $75 for a one-page insert with the advertiser providing the appropriate number of inserts
  • Inserts should also be provided in electronic form to the office so that they can be sent as an attachment for the electronic newsletters. Contact the office for acceptable formats.
  • E-mail is preferred for quality. Smaller ads can be faxed.
  • The editor would be glad to assist you in setting up an ad that is cost effective for you, yet enticing for the potential employee.

InvoiceThe advertiser will be invoiced once the ad has run. Please provide a mailing address and contact person. Ads will be accepted on a first-come basis; the number printed will depend on space availability; placement is at the discretion of the Newsletter Managing Editor.

Deadlines and DistributionCACVT reserves the right to refuse any ad. While every attempt will be made to run your ad, because of limited space in the newsletter, ads will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

The deadline is around the 17th of the preceding month. The newsletter is distributed on the first of the month (for e-mail delivery) and during the first week of the month (for hard copy). Please contact the office for the exact deadline date and for the current distribution numbers.

A disclaimer will be included to the effect that advertisement in the newsletter does not mean that CACVT endorses the company. Also, CACVT will not be responsible for any follow-up concerning the ad or the information contained in it. Any direct contact information should be included in the ad.

For any questions about advertisement, or to place an ad, please contact the CACVT office. Thank you for your support of the veterinary technicians and best of luck to you.
