ATTENTION: People who passed the VTNE in 2011 or 2012 or anyone else wishing to join CACVT.

Congratulations and welcome to the next step of your career - becoming certified.

Remember, passing the VTNE does not mean you are automatically credentialed in any state. You must check with the specific state that you wish to be credentialed in (CVT, RVT, or LVT) to determine the next step. If you are unsure of who is the governing body of that state, please visit www.aavsb.org and click on "Board and Agency Directory" on the left hand column.

If you wish to be voluntarily certified in Colorado, you have reached the right place! Please read on...

For detailed information, visit www.cacvt.com/apply

CACVT requires 3 specific items in order to become a CVT in Colorado:

  1. membership application with appropriate fees (please note that after 3 months, there will be a late fee assessed)
  2. copy of diploma or transcript
  3. VTNE scores  (NOTE: if you requested that your scores be sent to CO, then we have them on file already).

If you tested during the March/April 2012 period, you will have to wait until CACVT receives the "official" passing form from AAVSB (usually the end of April). However, all other information still applies. Please contact the CACVT office if you have questions. Thank you.
